Mitsuo - Part 1

Neurodivergent and imaginative seven-year-old Sasha Leonard prefers to exist in the fantastical universe of Mitsuo, an intergalactic adventurer from his favorite manga, than engage with the world around him. Struggling with how to cope, his parents consider sending him to an institution where he will be medicated into submission—until his mother takes a desperate gamble, running away with him in the hope of finally learning how to connect with her son. A bittersweet story about the inner child that exists within all of us.
