Useful and Inspiring
I started learning piano only since college and have some composing idea recently. This book is extremely useful in my case. The music theory chapters helped me revise the knowlege on that part, from triads to arpeggio, from voicing to invertions, which I quickly went through since I already have some understanding. Then it came to my fav part the piano comping techniques, with examples from pop songs of recent couple years. You know, sometimes it is just much easier for someone to pull out these notes from songs rather than listening times and times again yourself trying to figure out the notes. I’ve read the comping part multiple times and will continue to use it as future reference in my compsing arsenal. Not particulaly into synth keyboard in my case but these exmaples also seem useful even if one day I change my mind. Worth my money purchasing and my time reading.
