Publisher Description

From the critically acclaimed author of Allegedly, Tiffany D. Jackson, comes a gripping new novel perfect for fans of E. Lockhart and Gillian Flynn about the mystery of one teenage girl’s disappearance and the traumatic effects of the truth.

Monday Charles is missing, and only Claudia seems to notice. Claudia and Monday have always been inseparable—more sisters than friends. So when Monday doesn’t turn up for the first day of school, Claudia’s worried.

When she doesn’t show for the second day, or second week, Claudia knows that something is wrong. Monday wouldn’t just leave her to endure tests and bullies alone. Not after last year’s rumors and not with her grades on the line. Now Claudia needs her best—and only—friend more than ever. But Monday’s mother refuses to give Claudia a straight answer, and Monday’s sister April is even less help.

As Claudia digs deeper into her friend’s disappearance, she discovers that no one seems to remember the last time they saw Monday. How can a teenage girl just vanish without anyone noticing that she’s gone?

Best book I have ever read!!!

I loved it. The story was amazing especially with that punch in the gut twist at the end. I have no complaint with this book at all. The story was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t put the book down. Little backstory, it took me a week to get my hands on the book and it took me 2 weeks to actually start reading the book. I ended up using all of my free time to read the book and it was 100% worth it. All I wish is that there can either be a sequel or have this book made into a movie.

Ehhh..

This book was definitely a suspense/mystery story, but in my opinion, it wasn’t written well at all. It was so predictable and it was dumbed-down A LOT and there really wasn’t a buildup in plot, I kinda felt like it just kept dragging on and on. Plus, the switching in time was super confusing to me and definitely could’ve been clearer. Definitely a powerful story but it absolutely could’ve been written better. Wouldn’t really recommend if you want a well-written book.

Authentic and haunting

Compelling. Loved the characters and the settings were mint. Beautifully written and gripping. Read the book in its entirety in 2 days. Totally worth it.
