PartnerUp
Fiona Harrison, the youngest of the Harrison-Blackwell sisters, is a lost soul. Fiona wants to please everyone so badly that she forgets who she is and what makes her happy. Rudy, Fiona’s dad, strongly encourages her to get a “real job” and find someone to settle down with. So he and Big E fill out her bio on the app PartnerUp in hopes of getting her to where they think she should be. Little do they know, she’s exactly where she needs to be. She just doesn’t realize it yet. But Simon does...
Simon Clarke comes back to Montana to help out family by running their bar. Simon is a successful businessman who owns Clarke Props in California. Clarke Props provides props to various movies. While Simon is attracted and intrigued by Fiona, he knows she’s not the girl for him as he’s eventually going back to California. Simon decides if he can’t be her match, he’ll help her in quest to find the “right” man. A promise he later discovers, is impossible to keep!
OMG! Flashbacks abound! I too, tried a dating app. Never again! The guys were NEVER who they said they were or NEVER looked anything like the picture they posted. So disappointing! I felt as though I was reliving my past through Fiona—except I didn’t have a cute, growly, Alpha man running off all my potential matches! Looks can be deceiving, assumptions so very wrong! Fiona and Simon were the perfect match! Incredible story and a first Carol Ross story for me. Highly recommend! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
Simon and Fiona are awesome
Montana Match is the next book in the Blackwell Sisters series and it’s just a great as the previous three. But don’t be intimidated and feel like you need to read the others first...each can be read as a stand-alone story. Then go back and read the rest!
Fiona is the youngest sister and probably the most influenced by her father, who I’m frankly not a big fan of. He keeps telling her to grow up and find a good job...which is not a job she might like or be good at, but one that fits his vision of what a good job is. And his pushing for her to find a good man has led her to sign up for on-line dating. Which isn’t going well.
Of course, a lot of that may have to do with good looking, funny Simon, the bartender at the scene of Fiona’s less than successful dating attempts. Some of that is the fault of the guys she picks, but also because of Simon, who has agreed to “help” her find her man. We all know how that’s going to work out!
Fiona and Simon are adorable together and they have great humor and chemistry. He’s her anchor in Montana, in a place she doesn’t know with family she isn’t bonding with. Even her big sister seems to be too busy for her. Simon’s friend Luke adds even more humor to the situation and quickly became a favorite character...who I hope gets his own story!
Montana Match is a sweet, funny, engagingly well-written story that I enjoyed and did not want to put down.
