Montana Wedding

Georgianna Harrison is one of the triplets in the Harrison sister family. She’s not an identical twin as her two sisters, so she’s always felt like the odd girl out. She’s felt as though she always had to prove herself. So, she studied instead of played. And worked, worked, worked...She always had her nose in the books, living her life without really “living”. When it came to her sister’s wedding, she devised a plan so that her family wouldn’t worry about her and approve of her plan to move to England. Her coworker agreed to be her fake boyfriend, until he didn’t show up at the airport. With no other plan, she looks to the cowboy next to her for help.

Zach Evans knows heartache. He’s survived losing his brother, but will not lose his horse Rain Dancer. He and his brother had dreams wrapped up in Rain Dancer and he feels as though he can’t honor those dreams if he has to put Rain Dancer down. When Zach learns Georgie is headed to Big E Ranch, he jumps at the chance to get closer to the vet that has a possible cure for Rain Dancer. He hadn’t planned on falling for his co-conspirator.

I am new to Cari Lynn Webb and truly enjoyed her writing style. I loved how they both started out to deceive, but ended up baring their souls. I loved how supportive and encouraging Zach was of Georgie, even when she didn’t realize she needed it. I enjoyed Georgie’s “ah ha” moment when she realized she wasn’t really living life. I enjoyed her scenes with the kids and her new family. She’s a nurturer and you could literally feel the love she had to offer. She finally discovered where she belongs. Great ending! Although I think forgiveness is the key to healthy relationships, I thought the Harrison sisters forgave their biological dad really quickly. Other than that, a great series ending! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

Well, that’s a wrap on the Blackwell Sisters series, and it definitely went out on a high note. Georgie is the most serious and self-contained Harrison sister, dedicated to her laboratory research but separated by distance and emotions from her sisters. She loves her family, but she’s the planner and is worried about each of their new-found, and very quickly firmed, new relationships. And not wanting to be left out or questioned about her lack of a relationship, she does what one does...brings a fake date.
Zach finds himself in a precarious position after meeting Georgie on the plane to Montana. He needs her cousin’s help, but feels torn about the deception. Especially after finding that the Blackwell ranch is a place he seems to fit into seemlessly.
This couple is totally mismatched but so easy to cheer for. Yes, Georgie’s transformation from shy, reserved observer is a bit fast, but I enjoyed how Zach’s support and calm nature brought her out of herself and helped her bond with her new family. Obviously, there’s lots of Blackwell relatives thrown into the mix, with a few surprises and the conclusion of the Thomas Blackwell mystery.
All in all, this last book and the series as a whole has been a delight for this reader. I highly recommend not just Montana Wedding but all the Blackwell Sisters books...and the original series, the Blackwell Brothers, too.
