Each month of the year radiates with a distinct quality and provides unique opportunities for personal growth and illumination. Accordingly, every month has a slightly different climate and represents a particular stage in the 'story of the year' as expressed through the annual cycles of nature. The winter months call for practices and pursuits that are different than those of the summer months. Some months are filled with holidays and some have only one, or none. Each month therefore has its own natural and spiritual signature.
According to the deeper levels of the Torah, each month's distinct qualities, opportunities and natural phenomena correspond to a certain set of seasonal and spiritual variables arranged within a twelve-part symbolic structure.
