This is an unusual, quirky book which is written in rhyming verses. It has 55 beautiful pencil drawn illustrations. It's also educational with a dictionary of words in the poem in the back.  It will be enjoyed by 8 to 13 year olds and adults.  The story is fast paced with twists and surprises following the challenging journey of young twin witches. They meet goblins, elves, a dragon, a unicorn, talking birds and animals. Who can they trust on their zigzagging rush through the giant forest? They must reach the Shamanic witch elder to fulfill their destiny or all is lost. There is an underlying message about preservation and deforestation in this story as it comes to a dramatic climax.  This book could be used in schools with projects relating to animals, birds, trees and plants in legends, myths and folklore.
