Alexandria Helios is on a mission to find her brother. Landon disappeared on his quest to find the Sacred Library that holds the cure to the moon sickness affecting their people. There is one problem. Her journey will take her through the Kingdom of Night and directly into Torrin’s path as the head of the Night King’s army. He’s egotistical, sexy, sin incarnate, and everything she knows she shouldn’t want, but his whispered promise of dark desires awakens something deep within her that makes him hard to resist.
Torrin didn’t expect the lead assassin of the Moon Clan to walk into his trap. Alexandria has ignited something within him that he thought was gone, and he knows he shouldn’t crave her, but he does. She’s a fire in a world of ice, bathed in blood and moonlight that calls to the darkness within him.
Secrets are unraveling as both are tossed into a ploy that neither is destined to survive. Can they find common ground and work together to defeat the darkness? Or will the world come crashing down around them as they tear each other apart?

Takes a while to get to the point
Another good book by Amelia, but it takes some time to get to the point. Throughout the book, you can anticipate where it’s going to be wrapped up in the last several chapters. I would have liked less of the build up for more of an expansion on the final chapters.
Trying to be fair but it’s hard to read
Okay I don’t normally leave reviews and honestly I’m only 50% into this book so maybe I need to revise this once I finish. I love a sexy scene as much as the next girl, and this genre is my favorite but, even for me, this is a lot of foreplay and really dragging out the sexual tension with very little plot and next to no emotional depth from the main female character. Maybe it builds into something but I’m an avid reader and can read just about anything but this is tough to get through. The lead female is interesting I think … but again, I learn very little about her between the sex scenes. I wish there was a lot more character building/ depth to the characters to add to the book for me personally. I feel like it’s 1 page of actual plot for every 5 pages of some hostile sex scene.
