It was pretty good…
The writing was sometimes weird, but the plot was good, and the ending of the book wasn’t a cliffhanger, it felt like a complete story. I loved the characters, and the vampire lore in this book was so interesting. I love to read romantic fantasy books without all the smut, and this checked all the boxes for a great, modest book.

Interesting take on vampirism, but story development was on the slow side. Very little excitement or spice. Gives off “A Discovery of Witches” vibe. Unfortunately, I’m not interested enough to continue on to the next book in the series.
