Good read! What’s next??🥰

I really needed a good read and I’m lucky I found it! Zoey’s character is relatable and I love the mystery of the men in her life. Excited for the next one to come.

Good, just rushed

I’ve loved Kathleen Brooks other series for a long time, so I was eager to try this one. The supernatural elements sounded fun. Zoey and her neighbors have a great introduction in the first half.

But wow, the second half of this story was rushed. Everything after Zoey accepting the existence of witchcraft seems like a skeleton of a story, waiting to be fleshed out in the next revision. We spent so long getting to know the town and the people that the entire plot gets sidelined. Like, they solved a murder and prevented Armageddon in barely a week, and most of that was jump-cuts between mundane scenes that weren’t critical to the story.

I will totally read more, I’m just a little disappointed and feel like these characters got short shafted.
