Publisher Description
A one-night stand with a stranger. It should be perfect. Until she finds out he’s no stranger at all.
Justine Jarreau likes her relationships short, simple, and sizzling. Lucas, a man whose last name she doesn’t know, is the ideal candidate. But Lucas has an ulterior motive. And a message from her past. Not only does he tell her that her father just had a heart attack, he also claims to be her new stepbrother and the CEO of Jarreau Wineries, the job that would have been Justine’s if her father hadn’t disowned her.
Her stepbrother. And her replacement. So much for an uncomplicated, casual affair.
Lucas Falconer came to bring Justine home for good, for her father’s sake, a man Lucas reveres and considers part of his family. And family is everything to Lucas. He’ll do anything to grant her father’s wish. Even if it means seducing Justine into staying.
But can a relationship based on lies and manipulation last more than a night?
“What a steamy and deliciously wicked romance.”
“A wonderfully entertaining and captivating read.”
Customer Reviews
Hot,Hot,Hot
This steamy, almost insta-love starts out with a bang and just keeps building until the fireworks grand finale. Justine & Lucas' chemistry jumps off the page with a ton of heat. I loved this couple. Their hilarious banter and hate/hate relationship had me laughing-outloud. I was really rooting for them throughout the whole book. Haynes does a great job mixing animosity with....well you know :). Don't miss out on another entertaining , hot read from Jasmine Haynes.
One night changed her life forever
Jasmine Haynes latest West Coast Novel, More Than a Night, is the best yet. Justine Jarreau has been estranged from her father for almost twenty years, but all that changes after a one night stand with Lucas Falconer who turns out to be the step brother she never knew she had. He’s come to bring her home after her father has had a heart attack. He was told Justine abandoned her father and the family vineyard.
The next morning Lucas breaks the news to Justine about her father. She’s distraught and angry at how Lucas has treated her. She races to her fathers side, desperate to see him. She is determined do anything to heal their rift except bend to her father’s will, or any man for that matter, including Lucas Falconer, no matter how attractive she finds him.
Justine’s father tried to force her to marry a man she didn’t love and when she refused, he disowned her. Now he’s trying to do it again. Even though she finds Lucas incredibly attractive and heat sizzles between them, she is her own woman and she refuses to let any man treat her as less than that.
What I like most about Justine is even though the men in her life think they know what’s best for her, she listens to her ne night changed her life forever.
