Publisher Description
This laugh-out-loud romantic comedy proves that, when enemies become lovers, all bets are off!
Jessa Gibson may be new in the little town of Granite, Texas, but in no time at all her gourmet food truck business is booming. Soon she'll have enough money to open the restaurant of her dreams. But first, she'll have to appease the hot local health inspector, no matter how strange his "violations" sound to her. No pink plastic gloves? Really?
Max Hager isn't exactly who he says he is. Pretending to be a health inspector is a (mostly) innocent mistake. A mistake made way worse by Max's immediate, electrifying attraction to the curvy, sexy, redheaded chef. Throw in a whole lot of lust, and things in Jessa's little kitchen are about to really start heating up. But can Max find a way to come clean with Jessa before his little deception turns into a recipe for disaster?

Little White Lies...
Max, always a chubby child, struggles with weight and living a healthy lifestyle. Everyday, he eats lunch at the diner owned by Pops. Pops is the only person who knows about Max's struggles, so he makes him "the special" every day. While the diner is usually packed, it's completely empty when Max returns from a visit with his family. A new business has moved into town and has taken Pops' business with it. In efforts to force the new business out of town, Max poses as the new health inspector.
Jessa arrives in Granite with hopes to earn enough money to open her own restaurant. Her gypsy mother always spoke highly of her time spent in Granite, so Jessa decided to give it a go. Never did she think the new, sexy health inspector would harass her. Even though she fixes the ridiculous "issues" Max finds, Max continues to show up to her food truck...As Max starts falling for Jessa, he knows he should tell her the truth but can't quite find the words.
While I enjoyed Max and Jessa's story, I wanted to smack some sense into Max! There were numerous times he could've come clean, but didn't. I understand his reservations in telling Jessa the truth, but he drug it on FOREVER! I did enjoy their unique relationship. I also LOVED the surprise twist at the end....six degrees of separation come to mind! Well done! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
