Faking it never felt so real...
Nothing’s more important than leading my team to victory every week. Except maybe escaping from the team owner’s recently-widowed and handsy-as-hell sister who’s dead set on winning more than a date with me at the charity auction.
Enter Violet and a well-placed Hail Mary.
She’s my best friend’s sister with a smile as sweet as cherry pie and a mind that runs quicker than the 40-yard-dash. After Violet saves the day with the highest bid, I don’t even give her a two-minute warning before I kiss her in front of the whole crowd and then announce that she’s my girlfriend. Then my agent tells me we have to keep up the act while he's negotiating my contract.
What happens next when faking it starts to feel all too real?

Hot and sexy
Loved everything about this book! Grade school love to high school and now adulthood! Wow great story, and very very funny!!! Thank you for the wonderful escape and to think anything is possible!!
Don’t read it
So disappointed. I couldn’t finish the book. It was dragging
Touchdown! Lauren Blakely is on top of her game with Most Valuable Playboy, which in my opinion is one of her best! This book is on an entirely different level and is now my favorite book of hers!!
Blakely can write a male POV like it’s nobody’s business and this was no exception! Cooper has that confidence, sweetness and is truly humble….yet very, very sexy! The sexy, starting quarterback is in need of some help and Violet, a salon owner and a long time friend, is just the person to save him.
Violet is the classic Blakely heroine. She is fun, sexy, smart, and knows what she wants. At the moment, Violet’s one goal is to help one of her best friends, Cooper, get out of a sticky situation. Little do Cooper and Violet know what is about to be scratching at the surface of this “fake” relationship...
I enjoyed how both Cooper and Violet interacted with each other along with the other characters we come to know if Most Valuable Playboy. The chemistry between Cooper and Violet is one of the best I’ve read. It is instantaneous as they have been friends forever. Their “fake” relationship, one to help Cooper’s career and Violet’s beauty salon, is one you would think you’ve read before. The fake relationship where Violet also happens to be Cooper’s best friends sister. But there is just something different about this story, something so sweet and endearing, I couldn’t put the book down until it was completely over.
At this point, I think everyone in the book world knows my love for Lauren Blakely. I adore her books tremendously, but Most Valuable Playboy was something different in my opinion. There is no doubt Blakely can write a romance like no-one else but this book, it tops them all!
