Publisher Description

Appellant, The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons of Texas and Jurisdiction, appeals from a judgment notwithstanding the verdict in favor of appellees, Sam Jackson, Howard Roberson and Aaron Armstrong, individually, and as trustees of Evergreen Lodge No. 171, Free and Accepted Masons of Texas and Jurisdiction. In its first five points of error, the Grand Lodge contends that the trial court erred (1) in disregarding the jurys answer to special issue number one, (2) in rendering judgment notwithstanding the verdict in favor of Evergreen and (3) in denying the Grand Lodges motion for judgment on the verdict. We agree. Consequently, we reverse the trial courts judgment and render a take-nothing judgment in favor of the Grand Lodge.
