Julian and Courtney rock!
This is the first book I’ve read by Jackie and it exceeded all of my expectations! Julian Fong is a hot CEO who doesn’t know how to relax and enjoy a day off. Courtney Kwan is a biomedical researcher who tries to enjoy the little things because she can’t always do that. Their story takes place in Toronto where I grew up so in reading this book, I kept getting so excited because it felt like I was reading a friend’s story. Depression and how it impacts Courtney, her family and her relationship with Julian were beautifully rendered! Please, please read this book because you will love it and Jackie did a phenomenal job crafting a story of two Chinese Canadians falling in love in a pretty great city while tackling their issues and working through them! I really hope we get more stories because Julian’s brothers deserve HEAs too 👩🏻🔬👨🏻💻☕️🎍
