Hard to get through, but worth it
It’s a hard read, with a lot of ineffective repetitiveness. It took me forever to get through it, because I felt like I was rereading the same pages over and over, but really the book just repeats itself—a lot—not in a “bring home the point” sort of way, but in a distracting “I’m loosing it and I forgot that I just said that” sort of way. I originally purchased the Kindle version and then got the Audible version and had to force myself to listen to a full chapter at a time, so that I didn’t feel like I was loosing my mind. Once you get past the schizophrenic aspects of the writing style there really is some great material there. I wish that I had suffered through it sooner, because I think it could have really helped me before I chose to make a significant career move. I may have stayed longer to work through the challenges that I was facing with unintentional diminishers in upper management.
