Book 1 of the Maggie Newberry Mysteries
Description de l’éditeur
Maggie Newberry is a whip-smart advertising copywriter who’s fast on her feet and a little stunned to realize that she’s over 30 and still hasn’t found true love. When her long-missing sister ends up dead, Maggie flies to the south of France to find the little niece that no one in the family even knew existed. Along the way, she finds handsome, sexy Frenchman Laurent Dernier to help search for the girl. Meanwhile, her sister’s murderer sets his sights on the little girl—and Maggie.

Enjoyed!
Solid murder mystery, well written and interesting characters- much better than a lot of the series being churned out these days
Murder in the south of France
Very good
Murder in the South of France
Maggie Newberry flew to France to identify her estranged sister’s body. After doing so, she wrapped up some other details and returned home to Georgia to mourn with her parents. Then an unexpected phone call summons her back to France. When she realizes the French police have little interest in finding her sister’s murderer, she decides to play detective. Her French boyfriend doesn’t approve of her choice. He isn’t the only one. But how far will someone go to stop her from finding answers?
Maggie’s search for answers intrigued me, but her relationship with Laurent seemed to distract her from her goals too easily. Not sure how this could build to a series. 4
