Gripping to the end!
I’ve enjoyed the previous books in this series but this book I could not put down. The detailed dialogues as Malloy investigates each lead and carefully discerns who can be removed from the list of suspects is a very realistic and thorough understanding of the nature of investigation. I was spellbound to follow Maeve’s experiences. The author has a true gift in bringing the characters to life and drawing the reader in. My heart pounded as I joined our heroine in a race against time as though I too was running toward the dramatic conclusion. Hats off to Ms. Thompson for her masterfully written plot and credible and endearing characters that make the reader care about the outcome.
