Enjoyable

A TIME FOR MURDER is an enjoyable addition to this series. Lots of familiar characters make an appearance in this book, and Land does a good job of keeping their personalities true to the series. The mystery is intriguing, the story moves along at a good pace, and the conclusion was satisfying. Fans of this series are sure to be pleased.

Keep the Continuity

Though the story was intriguing, it is disconcerting to read all of the changes the new author has made. Is it because he didn’t read the old books? Mort has been divorced from Adele in all of the previous books. And now he’s married to her again? Seth doesn’t have children - though he did in the television series - which was part of this author’s dedication…And there are more in other books of his. Jon Land needs to go back and read Donald Bain’s books and correct his errors in his future offerings…
