The Last Words on Achievement by the Legendary Jim Straw
Before he died in 2012, Jim Straw wrote this book. He called it his “last hoorah.” He didn’t know how prescient he was.
This book is short, but don’t let that mislead you. EVERY page will imbue you with the wisdom and know-how to achieve your goals. Or, as Mr. Straw put it,”move mountains.”
The premise of the book is simple: Yes, faith is helpful in moving mountains, but you’ll need a shovel, too. That means that as you embark on your journey toward success, your mental state is important; and just as important is your waorking state. Thus, Mr. Straw’s term “physio-psychic power.” Or, as we sometimes call it, the mind-body connection.
Two chapters in “Mustard Seeds” are true stand-outs: 15 - “How to Get Rich” and 16 - “Mustard Seeds, Shovels, & Mountains.”
Chapter 15 details the philosophy that Mr. Straw used to get rich. The eleven items in his list will set you in the right direction.
Chapter 16 is truly magical. In it, Mr. Straw relates the story (supposedly a true story) of a gentleman who “borrowed” his way to an entire factory. Tis is a GREAT tale and will give you new insight every time you read it.
