My Autistic Child

My Autistic Child is different from other picture books because instead of your reading the story to the child, the child tells you the story. 

We wrote simple questions for you to ask the child and for the child to answer by looking at the pictures. In other words, the child will be playing an active part in the story as he or she is drawn into an imaginary adventure.

As you ask questions and the child answers, the child will actually be making up the story as he or she looks at the pictures, finds the answers and turns the pages.  

It is this looking, creating, and sharing that makes this a particularly valuable experience for any child, including autistic children.
