Publisher Description

“Suicide is selfish.

It tells the world that you are weak. It tells the world your family and friends have failed. It leaves them with guilt that they could have done more but didn’t. It tells them they are clueless and helpless.

I am weak, but I am not selfish.

My suicide will not leave my family and friends with guilt and shame; it will leave them thankful that they knew me for the short time I was here.” – Cosette Hugo

Her brother died. Her parents divorced. Her high school bully is relentless. Cosette doesn’t have a lot to live for, but it isn’t until she accidentally kills someone that Cosette makes the decision to take her own life.
Unwilling to bring shame to her mom, best friend Mattie, or her boyfriend Chris, Cosette decides the best method of suicide is to become a victim of the local serial killer, The Poser. But every time she goes out to find him she gets attacked; her instincts take over, and she ends up killing her attackers. This quickly leads to unbearable guilt. Desperate to finish this before she gets caught or racks up more victims, Cosette does the unthinkable.

“And when I reach my final goal, to meet my brother in heaven, and we’re looking down at my victim in Hell, he will say to me ‘Well done, Cosette. What a Beautiful Suicide.’”

Dark & Twisted, I never saw that coming!

This is not the book that you take a week to read. This is the book you cancel plans for. Am I exhaggerating? Read as many reviews as you can, they all say the same thing. The main character, Cosette, has a rough life. Her brother died, her parents divorced, and a bully at school is making things unbearable. At every twist and turn you fall more in love with Cosette and those turns become twisted at times! I loved the book, Atty! Can't wait to get the second one in my hands!

Better than a Page Turner

For a couple of days after reading Atty Eve's first novel, all I could think to describe it was to say "Wow!" over and over like a babbling idiot. I read the main quote about the selfishness of suicide & Cosette's plan to avoid that. Intrigued, I downloaded a sample from iTunes. Two pages in, I stopped reading. I went straight back to iTunes & bought the book. Yeah...I was hooked that quickly. Atty sucked me in immediately. I've been an avid reader since 5th grade and I've now been a high school senior for 32 years (do the math). Suffice it to say, I've read too many books to count. I honestly can't recall the last time I was so completely ensnared. I thought I'd figured out where the story was going several times, but was proven wrong any number of times. When I expected a plot twist to occur, none did. Then *BOOM* plot twist! Many (maybe most) page turners are fun, fast & relatively fluffy. Nothing at all wrong with fluffy! This book is fun, fast and and with a depth of story & character rarely encountered in the mystery, suspense, thriller genre.

While reading a review written on Goodreads, I came across the perfect description...New York Times Bestseller. Yup... It's that good. A book does NOT have to be printed to be a "real" book, regardless of what the publishing elite will tell you. If Atty does decide to publish in print (and she will definitely have the option in the future), I'll be lining up for a signed copy.
