Penny and Qong
A nice and quick intro to a promising series. Penny is stranded on a space station that does the Trials that are outlawed in the galaxy. She is saved because she was abducted from earth and her captor was caught and put into the trials but she made a deal with the people running the Trials for her life and now she does maintenance on the ship that no one else wants to do. Her nose doesn’t lie, and when she smells waffles she goes to investigate. It leads to a cell where they are keeping Qong. He knows instantly that she is his mate but he couldn’t imagine that his mate was a human. Will she be able to get Qong out of his cell in time before he has to compete in the Trials? What does being his mate entail for penny?
