Loved It!!
Kelly Gendron’s “My Escort” shines a light on domestic violence through the eyes of the heroine Cassie Redmon.
Cassie has always been strong, determined and independent until she enters into a relationship with Glenn. The book opens with an altercation between Glenn and Cassie and you not only can’t help rooting for Cassie, but you get a glimpse of how strong she is when she stands up to her abuser and makes her escape with the help of Brett.
I really enjoyed this book, I loved Cassie and her determination to work through her traumatic experience and not only find herself but to find love. I adored the relationship between the Daxon brothers and their mother, and look forward to reading about each brother and their mom.

Heroes and romance. enjoyable read.
This is definitely "A Different Kind of Escort Service." This is a series about three brothers wanting to make a difference in the lives of abused females. They couldn't help their mother but they can still make a difference in the lives of others.
Brett Daxon, the eldest brother answers a "Julia" call. Without a second thought; he goes to save a woman he knows nothing about except that she is being abused. That is enough. He will risk everything to save her.
Cassie made the call. Now all she has to do is survive long enough to be saved from her abuser. She will not know her rescuer. He will not know her. He will do what is necessary to get her away. Once the run is over, they will forget each other and move on. It might not be that easy.
This is Brett and Cassie's story. Brett's past, Brett's anger issues make him a bad bet for a relationship in his opinion. He fears he will become his dad. Distance keeps him safe. But he can't stay away from Cassie when she returns to Florida, stumbling back into his life.
Cassie survived. Cassie now risks her safety by returning to Florida to oversee construction on a new office. Stumbling into Brett's life changes everything. She knows what she wants and she is determined to get it. She will have to conquer many obstacles if she is to succeed.
The author has written an emotional story. The tension rolls off the pages. The brothers second job is not without risks.
I took an important message from the story--communication is key. Not just in a romantic relationship, but also in business and family. The lack of communication had me playing a lot of "what if" games.
Good read
This a slow burn enjoyable read. Cassie calls a service that specializes in rescuing abuse women. When she makes the call Brett is her escort. Although she was beaten by her ex Glenn she fights back once Brett arrives.
She spends the next year healing and when she goes back to where she left for a work project she comes face to face with Brett. She has this pull to him that he initially tries to resist. Brett has his own past that he is somewhat hostage to that prevents him giving in initially.
It’s an interesting read with drama, healing, steam, and family bonds.
