I have really loved this series. This book was really terrific, but I did miss the connection to the other books in the series. The other books were about siblings in the Maguire family that find love. Ian, I believe is their cousin. The Maguire family believes in public service and so Ian Maguire's dad is running for public office. And Simone Jax works with her mother and sister in a public relations firm. They run the PR for Ian's father's campaign.
Its going really well except for Ian Maguire. He is a bit of a playboy, and the press loves him but Jax PR not so much. That is how Simone comes up with the idea that Ian should have a girlfriend or even a fake one. But Ian only wants her and so she decides to be his fake girlfriend for the good of his father's campaign and the good of her families PR company.
This story has a bit of insta love/lust at least on Ian's side. When he meets Simone, he has no idea that they are connected at all. But when he finds out well that's when the fun begins.
I really ended up enjoying this story. Ian is totally a fun guy and well Simone was his total opposite, but she also cannot resist him, even though she tries. I will say it did have a very slow start but once the whole plot kicks in I really enjoyed the characters and story.
