In My Grape Escape, twenty-six-year-old Laura steps off the path to a prestigious legal career in London and into a Revolutionary-era ruin in the Burgundian town of Beaune with her new husband, Franck. Is this split-second, life-altering decision profoundly wise or utterly insane?

Laura's idealistic visions of bicycling through French vineyards with fresh baguettes under her arm had not included steaming plates of veal brains for breakfast or taming an electrician named Tin Tin. Still, as Laura learns the art of bartering for antique furnishings and rekindles her romance with Franck, she gains a newfound perspective. Will running from the law to the vineyards of France trump the expectations she has long held for herself? Find out in My Grape Escape, book two in Laura's popular Grape Series.

“Bradbury’s Grape Series feels like a series of honest and funny letters sent from a friend about her fascinating (and sometimes baffling) life in France. A beautiful read.”

—Janice MacLeod, New York Times bestselling author of Paris Letters and A Paris Year

“Bradbury’s Grape Series takes the reader on a romantic adventure into the heart, soul, and people of la belle France. Filled with delicious food, love, and laughter, Bradbury’s writing proves that you have to dare to follow your heart wherever it leads you…and that sometimes we have to step outside our comfort zone to truly live.”

—Samantha Vérant, author of How to Make a French Family and Seven Letters from Paris

My Grape Escape

I enjoyed the story a lot. Fun humor and touching book.

No one will ever say this book is great literature. However, I enjoyed every moment of reading it because I felt that I was alongside the couple and their friends in a charming French village — something I would love to experience but probably never will.

Historical architecture restoration in Burgundian France

This true story of a young couple giving up a career in law to purchase and restore a 1790 era townhouse in a rural village in Burgundy. The author currently owns 4 French vacation rentals and writes about her life and family. Charming, heartfelt, and heartwarming. I plan to read more of her life story.
