The Knights of de Ware...From a long line of legendary warriors come three brothers to carry on the rich and powerful de Ware legacy: Duncan the Champion...Holden the Warrior...Garth the Hero...
MY HERO: Book 3
Raised in the shadow of his warrior brothers, Sir Garth de Ware has retreated to a life of peace in the Church, seeking refuge from the unbridled desire that nearly destroyed him as a youth. But a beautiful healer from his past—newly widowed Lady Cynthia le Wyte—is not about to let the daring hero she remembers brood away in a monastery. She sweeps into Garth’s humdrum life, reawakening his passions and challenging his vows of silence and celibacy. And ultimately, Garth is forced to choose between his holy calling and the calling of his heart.

About Glynnis Campbell
When she's not writing swashbuckling historical romances and playing medieval matchmaker, bestselling author Glynnis Campbell (also writing as Sarah McKerrigan and Kira Morgan) is a cartoon voice, the wife of a rock star, and the mother of two young adults. She's been a ballerina, a typographer, a film composer, a piano player, a singer in an all-girl rock band, and a voice in those violent video games you won't let your kids play. She does her best writing on cruise ships, in Scottish castles, on her husband's tour bus, and at home in her sunny southern California garden. Glynnis loves transporting readers to a place where the bold heroes have endearing flaws, the women are stronger than they look, the land is lush and untamed, and chivalry is far from dead!
I love writing "stories to keep you up all night"!

I like the plot in that the male character is presented as an individual striving for an ideal he thinks is unreachable. In many other romances, male characters are secure in their own...virility, and make it a part of their self-concept. The main male character here does not.
This makes the plot of this story already interesting enough. Add in some intrigue, internal conflicts, and the story becomes one you want to finish. I will say, some passages were a bit dry, but I felt that they were necessary elements for affirming the setting.
The story is not always ‘hot and heavy’, and the romantic scenes are relatively spread out.
My Hero is a wonder from start to finish. What wonderful wordsmithing from Glynnis Campbell. It truly deserves a ten, but can only get five. Ten in my heart. I wish there were more de Ware brothers as they lend themselves so well to romance! Thank you Glynnis!
This last book could be made into a movie, it's that good. Really enjoyed the series and this last book.
