MY KIND OF TROUBLE
Luke Matthews isn't passing up a second chance with the one who got away...but first, he's going to make her pay for leaving him.
When her father is injured, Cassie Bellamy has no choice but to go back to her hometown to run the family ranch, but she swears she's going to lay low and avoid the lying, cheating polecat who sent her running ten years prior.
But fate has other plans. As soon as she hits the outskirts of town, her truck breaks down and Cassie quickly finds out two things. Bad Boy Luke Matthews is still hotter than the Texas sun, but he's not a bad boy anymore, he's the town sheriff and seems to have an ax to grind.
She also realizes, engaged or not, she is not as over him as she wanted to be. That proves to be a problem when her business-partner fiance visits the ranch and his true intentions are revealed.
Cassie has no doubt Luke can protect her when things turn ugly, but who will protect her heart from Luke?
A western romantic suspense series with hot cowboys, a dash of suspense and lots of southern humor--the perfect recipe for Trouble.
All of the books in the Texas Trouble series can be read as standalone novels.
My Kind of trouble
Really enjoyed the book. I would have done some fact checking. Should never send someone from Bowie to Amarillo for rehab (275 miles) instead of Fort Worth (70 mikes) away.
It was a great book but some chapters were repeated.
Good story, but desperately needs an editor
If this book was properly edited it would be 5 stars, but there are just too many editing issues. The messed up sentence structure, repeated words, and missing words really take away from the enjoyment of reading the story.
Too bad, because the story is really good.
