My Road Home

From growing up on a hardworking farm in the Midwest to halfway around the world and back again, Dick Bingeman has experienced things that many of us never will. Join him as he shares stories of his misadventures with his brothers and sister on the family farm and about the way things were done before the advanced technology that is widely available today. Cutting ice, mining coal, drilling for water, cutting trees, building fences, managing livestock and wildlife, the dangers of the plains, and the everyday trials of farming...Bingeman describes life and hard work in a foregone era. He also shares his bittersweet memories of his school years, important people in his life, and his service during the Vietnam War before his return to the family farm years later, along with his thoughts about political engagement, climate change, and the challenges of the future.
