Mystery Revealed

Egypt is not necessarily the most mysterious place on Earth. There is plenty being taught at schools from the age of ten, documentaries and National Geographic pseudo-documentaries on the telly are not rare, and Hollywood provides the rest. Egypt is not totally free from mysteries, though. Mysteries about how exactly the pyramids were built, how the obelisks were transported, and where some of the pharaohs were buried tend to linger and there is still much debate about these.


This book, based on stories told by ordinary Egyptians, guides and academics attempts to bust most of them. It also describes the author’s personal and almost unique experience during his trip in Egypt in October and November 2000. It contains 70 original photographs taken at this trip, hints and tips, and honest opinions and subjective observations, some of which might not be considered very popular.
