Cute Fantasy/Historical Romance
I received this book through Librarything early reviewers in exchange for an honest review I was also able to review the first book in the series as well which was really good. This second installment of the series is good but did not enthrall me as much as the first I felt that it dragged on a little. I can't quite put my finger on it but something was missing for me.
But all in all it was a good book a cute YA/Fantasy/Historical romance. I like how the author incorporated historical events seamlessly into this world of her creation. But I did not find the lead characters in this book interesting. Ian and Chantal were missing some of the "umph" that Mariel and Trystan had in book 1, in comparison I just felt Mariel and Trystan were much more interesting and more likeable. I found Ian and Chantal a little boring.
