Mzilikazi: The Trail of Blood

Before the songs called him a giant, Mzilikazi was a hunted man with nothing but a spear and a people who refused to die.

Driven out from under Shaka's shadow, the warrior-leader gathers a shattered nation-in-the-making and drives them north in search of ground they can finally call home. Around him walk scouts and healers, wives and sons, who must survive hunger, treacherous river crossings, whispered betrayals, and the brutal price of conquest as his shadow stretches across the southern continent.
