Publisher Description

Have you ever wondered where a chef eats breakfast in the Napa Valley? Napa Before Noon takes you on the road less traveled and tells you why you need to eat something good before a day of wine tasting. Tim Costner began cooking professionally shortly after the dot-com collapse of 2001. His passion for food has led him to Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans, and the Napa Valley (where he currently resides). Tim blogs extensively about the Bay Area food and wine scene on his website, the Accidental Wino (http://timcostner.com). In between meals, he raids old bookstores and record shops.

I've been attracted to the writing of Tim Costner for several years, reading his Accidental Wino blog. I started because of the blog's name and stayed for the beautiful photography and the out-of-the-way finds of all sorts of food in the Bay Area, mostly Napa where he lives. This book is a must have for anyone going to or living in Napa. You are certain to find a treasure of hidden gems and local favorites. (I need to add Solbar's chicken fried steak to his list.)
