Naraka 19

Naraka 19: The Nineteenth Layer of Hell was first published in China in 2005. The novel received top ranking in the national mystery/suspense bestseller list, and it was adapted into a movie in 2007.


The plot of the novel revolves around a SMS-based text adventure game that evolves into trials of moral guilt as psychological torments spread to every character within the story. As the plot progresses, the characters' sinful pasts are revealed as they face condemnation from "Hell".
