INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES AND WALL STREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER
“Fast-paced...pulse-pounding...supremely entertaining…His best ever.” —The Washington Times
“This might be the single greatest thriller I’ve covered....It’s amazing!” —The Real Book Spy
Scot Harvath returns in the newest thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Brad Thor.
The world’s largest bounty has just been placed upon America’s top spy. His only hope for survival is to outwit, outrun, and outlast his enemies long enough to get to the truth.
But for Scot Harvath to accomplish his most dangerous mission ever—one that has already claimed the lives of the people closest to him, including his new wife—he’s going to need help—a lot of it.
Not knowing whom he can trust, Harvath finds an unlikely ally in Norwegian intelligence operative Sølvi Kolstad. Just as smart, just as deadly, and just as determined, she not only has the skills, but also the broken, troubled past to match Harvath’s own.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
There’s nothing quite as dangerous as a spy with nothing left to lose. This riveting installment in Brad Thor’s long-running Scot Harvath action series opens with the operative devastated by grief. His closest loved ones and even his new wife are all dead, collateral damage in his violent world of espionage. As he bounces from one beach to another in an alcoholic haze, a chance bar fight leads to a strange discovery—there’s a gigantic bounty on his head, but no one knows who placed it or why. Thor blends Scot’s tortured emotional baggage into the thrilling set pieces, making this way more intense than your average action-adventure story. We found ourselves genuinely invested, pulling for Scot to claw his way out of the darkness and return to life as a covert operative, even if only to avenge his personal losses. Visceral and explosively intense, Near Dark takes this espionage series to the next level.

Still a Continuation
This still continues off the last two books. He gives the back story of the two books. Again we wrap it up in a last few chapters. I had a feeling we had a new LOVE Interest. It’s a decent read. Just one main story here.
Just ok
Not as exciting as a typical Harvath book
Thor must be a fan of John Wick
Scot Harvath has a bounty on his head and has to fight/torture his way to the person who issued it. Sound familiar - except John Wick wasn’t an alcoholic. To think that a guy who was s..t-faced drunk every day for weeks can suddenly transform in the apex predator is incredulous.
