APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
New York playboy and crime-solving lawyer Stone Barrington finds himself dragged into an escalating war with a deadly adversary from his past. After helping a young woman out of a bad date, Stone learns that her suitor has some powerful friends, who aren’t too pleased with Stone for their own reasons. Best-selling author Stuart Woods and co-author Brett Battles put Stone and his new lady friend in the crosshairs, cranking up the action, romance, and jet-setting adventure. We especially loved the return of the brilliant and dynamic Carly Riggs, Stone’s bold protégée, a rising legal star. Watching her develop as a character and banter with her mentor is a lot of fun—and it keeps Stone on his toes. Every book in this long-running series is a high-octane romp, and this action-filled adventure is no exception. It’ll appeal to both old fans and total newcomers.

More great fun
More of what we’ve come to expect from Mr. Woods. Let’s hope that someone continues his legacy…

The new female character completely ruined the book for me. I hope she disappears and that the usual characters continue their adventures.
Not bad
I was worried that a new writer couldn’t keep up the good work. I was wrong. This book is in line with the rest. Can’t wait for more. Thank you, and RIP Stuart. Barrington and his crew are in good hands!
