Nerds of Anarchy

The 1980s. A time before nerds were cool. A time when being even a little geeky could get you into some big trouble. And that's too bad for Phillip Duck, because Phillip Duck is a dork. A hapless, awkward, socially inept poozer with an unstable temper and a debilitating stutter, fueled by punk rock and a deep distrust of authority. If not for the unwanted attention of a pair of bullies, he'd be invisible at Jensen High.


But all that is about to change.


A shocking family betrayal lands Phil in the company of a small group of high school misfits: Scott, the intellectual; Mitch, the gadgeteer; Chaz, the spaz; Curtis, the chemist; Zeb, the genius; and Shankar, the clueless. While Phil tries to figure out if he's really Jedi or Sith, he coaxes his new friends into realizing that they don't have to take anyone's crap anymore. Together they become the Nerds of Anarchy...and high school will never be the same.


Based on a true story, Nerds of Anarchy is a nostalgic romp through the '80s as seen through the eyes of that decade's most derided subculture. Dungeons & Dragons, Star Trek, Star Wars, comic books--and, yes, even *girls*--weave a hilarious and sometimes poignant tapestry of loss, longing, revenge and redemption.
