Publisher Description
L.A. attorney and pet-sitter Kendra Ballantyne, Esq., has recently taken on a third job masterminding a new reality show. But things get messy when the hot new producer is suspected of murder.
Wealthy dreamboat and pet supply magnate Dante DeFrancisco thinks Kendra’s the cat’s pajamas. So one of his conditions—before he signed on as producer of her new reality show, Animal Auditions, is that she dine with him. The meal is delicious and the kiss is steamy—so why does Kendra have a hunch Dante’s up to something?
Meanwhile, on Animal Auditions, pot-bellied pigs are to be judged by a panel. But things screech to a halt when a nasty judge is found strangled to death by a pig harness. The suspects include Kendra’s cop friend, Ned, his sister . . . and Dante. For their sake—and that of the show—Kendra just work like a dog to clear their names. If only Dante didn’t make such a sexy suspect.
Customer Reviews
Great at the beginning but…
So I’ve been enjoying this series until this one. I’ve read one more after and that one prompted my review.
I’m really disappointed in the main character. She started out as a great lead and I appreciated her skills and how she dealt with people.
Then this book came along. And she became a character to dislike. And all this is how she’s dealing with men.
First her so called “bff” who definitely treated her like an acquaintance and not a friend. And she just took it.
Her treatment of Jeff is just not cool. And then she literally rolls into bed with someone who seems to treat her worse than everyone. But because he’s Uber rich, it’s ok?
All the reasons she claims Jeff is a bad boyfriend Dante does the same thing but with him it’s ok.
I really like the animals, mysteries and literally all the other supporting characters but how she acts around these guys has ruined the whole series for me.
