Why pick on Eckhart?
Understanding the evangelical church I can see why all the organized religions would feel threatened by Tolle writings. Losing control of the flock threatens the purse strings and doctrinal controls the church power brokers need to inflict pain and guilt on those they control. I have not reached the spiritual maturity of Eckart as he would never write something like this. I had to in a weak moment.
