New Year Oath

Kahiau Palakiko's life seemed flawless. His career as a population geneticist for a private company allowed him the freedom to pursue his interests and he found his soulmate in Story Mendoza, a brilliant gene therapist, who was also a stunning alpha snow leopard shifter.

That all changes when a routine run through the state park turns into chaos. The pair stumble upon a savage alpha attacking an omega in the throes of a volatile heat. Kahiau and Story intervene, forcing the man to retreat. With experimental heat suppressants and strong will, the pair take the omega to the safety of their home but their relief is short-lived.

The unheard of human omega pheromones hit them like a tidal wave, overpowering even to Kahiau, a human beta. The stakes rise, his uncontrolled heat a deadly symptom of a rare genetic mutation which threatens the omega's life if not treated. As Kahiau and Story grapple with primal urges, moral responsibility, and an undeniable connection to the fragile human in their care, danger is closing in on them from an outside source.

Will they overcome their instincts or will the pleading, needy human omega unravel everything they thought they knew about themselves and each other?
