Nibsy's Christmas

"Nibsy's Christmas " is the title of a little volume of three stories by Jacob A. Riis, the author of "How the Other Half Lives" and of " The Children of the Poor." These stories are based upon the author's observations of real life in the tenement-house districts, and derive their power and their pathos from the simplicity and fidelity with which he has portrayed the characters and painted the scenes.
