Welcome to Neoseeker's Nier: Automata walkthrough and guide. Nier: Automata is a PlatinumGames action RPG and the successor to Nier, both of which are part of the Drakengard series. This soon to be comprehensive guide will cover primary quests, side quests, loot, achievements, and more. Be warned: spoilers are littered throughout.

Nier: Automata is an open world post-apocalyptic game and is set thousands of years after the first title during a time when war has broken out between machines, of which you are one. If you haven't played any of the Drakengard games or just haven't played Nier, don't worry as this is a standalone title.

Developed by the beloved Yoko Taro, the game confronts issues like violence and prejudice.

Combat is aplenty and is much improved over its predecessor, sporting fast but light attacks, hard but slow attacks, evasive maneuvers, parrying, and counter attacks. For weapons, expect short swords, long swords, bracers, and spears, which you can alternate between for combo attacks.

RPG elements include quests, experience, stats (health, defense, attack power), and various perks (called Chips) like the ability to see enemy stats, status buffs for yourself, etc.
