Nigel's Big Dive

Set in Puget Sound’s Commencement Bay, herrings, seabirds and jellyfish join in the play in amusement park fantasy. Nigel, a non-native pelican, mixes it up with cormorants, in a roller coaster set of events, while in pursuit of his favorite food -- anchovies. Dangerous encounters with humans, poisonous jellyfish, a little magic, culminate in a rewarding career as a restaurateur and toy game designer! Nigel wanted to share his story with one of his board game creations where magic herrings, as avatars, play rummy games.

Soundtrack melodies make vocabulary come alive and help children to explore perceptions, feelings and situations. Musical interludes set the tone for a delightful success story for children ages 6 and up.
