Night Bloomers in Paris

In a city that cherishes the past with centuries-old gargoyles keeping watch from rooftops, the future is secretly evolving beneath the stone footpaths of kings and queens. In underground night clubs of Paris, the posh, the peasantry, poets, and politicians, cross paths with more dangerous revolutionaries as they descend beneath the cobblestones into a world known only to Night Bloomers and those who dare to follow them across forbidden thresholds.

A pre-dawn fog had settled upon Paris when sleuth Simon Pennington, hired to follow an alleged art thief, witnesses the sudden death of one particular Night Bloomer. Should he accept the police's judgment, that the death was purely accidental, or should he follow his instincts and pursue the dead musician's murderer?
