LEB1946 ,

A Kentuckian learns about the tobacco wars.

I discovered Warren a few weeks ago when my grandson had to read All The King’s Men. Night Rider provided an insight into the market rules for tobacco that my grandfather and other farmers lived with when I was a teenager growing up working in the fields. Warren’s main characters are complex and emotional but, he handles them very well. A good read if you want a feel for the early 1900’s.
