Sexy Vampires
I currently only read part one but I cannot put it down. Wow the intensity, the love, the found family dynamic. It has so much and and care even through the despair and destruction of life and greed. The setting is present day New York, New York. It is very well described and detailed. Each character’s characteristics and personality is detailed to the point of feeling like you know them for real. I love Melissa’s writing style. It is so easy to read and the words just flow.
Book 1 is an amazing start to the series. There is action, romance, spicy all wrapped up in twenty chapters. Did I mention the spice, hmmm… there is plenty of it. You might even need a few breaks in between the scenes. Book 1 does leave you in a cliffhanger but it is a doable cliff hanger. All three books are available so you obviously do not have to wait long to start the next.
I recommend to all who love supernatural and romance that are 18+.
A Fantastic Story!!!!!!!
This was my first book by Melissa Cummins and I was throughly impressed with Night Shade. It is a very fast paced story that has you on the edge of your seat. Dani and Greg are awesome characters with amazing chemistry that is felt throughout the story. Dani is thrust into a whole world she knew nothing about and jumps into everything like a champ. This shows how strong and capable she is. Greg is definitely your alpha male type of character and that is felt throughout the story as well. One thing I would have loved to see is more on Dani and her heritage. I would have also loved a bit more on their backgrounds. The story is extremely well written and developed. It definitely keeps you engaged in it. This is absolutely a must read.
Vampire Fated Mates
Where to start with the all consuming slow burn fated mates story. First I will say that yes there is a cliffhanger but at the same time there is a happily ever after. Want to understand that, read the book. Please check trigger warnings, while this is not a dark romance to me, I do know there is a few. This story hooked me from the start and keep me on the line. The ending hit me before I was ready and I can not wait to read the next books in the fascinating story. The spice is slow burn between the MMC and FMC but when it does burn, it burns hot. Overall I give this a 4.75 star rating and a 3 pepper rating.
