Publisher Description
Doc Ford is on a collision course with death in this extraordinary New York Times bestseller from Randy Wayne White.
The Red Citrus trailer park is inhabited mostly by illegal laborers. But the steroid-powered park manager and his grotesquely muscular girlfriend figure that selling the park to developers would be easy money—and they're ready to do whatever it takes to drive the residents out.
The problem is a young girl who the laborers believe talks to God. The manager doesn’t know if she's valuable or a liability. But when the girl witnesses him dumping a corpse into a lake, there is one thing he knows for certain: He's got to shut her up permanently.
The girl's only hope for survival: marine biologist Doc Ford, who must search through an underground, invisible nation...and hope he reaches her in time.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
In White's intelligent, fast-paced 18th Doc Ford thriller (after Deep Shadow), Doc's hipster friend, Tomlinson, persuades Doc to help an extraordinary 13-year-old girl, Tula Choimha, recently arrived at a Florida trailer park from Guatemala. Tula, who speaks with God and whose patron saint is Joan of Arc, is determined to find her mother and brother, who came to America months earlier but have disappeared. People who get to know Tula believe she is special, blessed, even a saint except for the sleazy, steroid-infused trailer park landlord, Harris Squires. Fearful that the discovery of some human remains inside an alligator carcass will implicate him in a crime witnessed by Tula, the paranoid Harris kidnaps Tula and takes off. Doc sets out to rescue Tula, but standing in his way is a menacing gangbanger, Victorino, and Harris's vicious girlfriend, Frankie. White balances the sordid criminal activities with plenty of intriguing wildlife lore. The bond that Tula forms with her captor adds poignancy.

night vision
not as good as his earlier books, but better than the one prior to night vision, all in all worth reading i guess,!,,,,!
Night Vision
Randy continues to take readers into the dark, primarily unknown Florida backcountry with excitement and danger on every page! I can see his style continuing to develop. Every book is better than the last! I can't wait for the next one.
Night vision
Another outstanding installment of Marion and Sighurder from Randy Wayne White. I enjoyed the new character, Tula including Randy's use of her to further explore Doc and Tomlinson's nature. I could not put it down from start to finish and cannot wait to get back to Dinkin's Bay.
