Nightshift Lovers

Alfonz has lived for centuries, but it takes one stubborn human to teach him what it truly means to live.

For centuries, Alfonz has survived the endless nights by keeping his distance from others. As a vampire working the nightshift at St. Raphael's Private Medical Clinic, he has devoted himself to caring for those who cannot safely seek help elsewhere. Love, however, has always carried a price he fears paying again.

Then Dolfie arrived.

A compassionate, sharp-witted paramedic, Dolfie challenged Alfonz's carefully guarded secrets and became the one person capable of reaching the heart he had hidden behind centuries of grief. Together, they survived a ruthless organization determined to destroy vampires, uncovered the terrifying history of an ancient weapon, and risked everything to prevent its power from falling into the wrong hands.

Now, months after the destruction of the weapon's central mechanism, they are building something neither man once believed possible: a life together.

Their days and nights are far from perfect. Alfonz still struggles with the fear of losing the man he loves, while Dolfie refuses to let secrecy or overprotectiveness dictate their future. Through difficult conversations, shared coffee, and quiet moments before dawn, they are learning that love is not about guaranteeing forever. It is about choosing each other in the time they have.

But just as peace begins to feel real, an encrypted message arrives. Its photograph reveals the remains of the destroyed weapon—and a fragment that may still contain its devastating power.

Someone has recovered what should have been lost.

With the threat of the Covenant far from settled and the mystery of the Heart beneath the stone still unresolved, Alfonz and Dolfie must confront a new danger that could threaten everything they fought to protect.

This time, Alfonz refuses to face the darkness alone.
