Niles' Florida

Published between 1811 and 1849, the Niles' Weekly Register covered the birth of Florida through thousands of articles, letters, narratives, anecdotes, and personal exposés.  Niles' Florida is the meticulous collection of these materials, laid out in an easy-to-read chronology of the Sunshine State.   Volume 1 (Acquiring the New Territory) includes reporting on the British activities in Spanish Florida, the first Seminole War, and the cession of Florida to the United States.
