Ninety Miles from Everything

They escaped Cuba in search of a future. But crossing ninety miles of ocean was only the beginning.

They thought the hardest part would be leaving Cuba. They were wrong.
When two brothers risk everything on a desperate journey toward Florida, they leave behind more than a country. They leave their parents, sisters, childhood, and the only home they have ever known.
Surviving the crossing is only the first test.
In America, they must begin again. Back in Cuba, the family they love continues waiting through scarcity, uncertainty, and years of separation.
Lives change. Children are born. Photographs cross borders. Decades pass.
But the Delgado family refuses to surrender one final dream: being together again.
Ninety Miles from Everything is an illustrated historical novel about survival, immigration, sacrifice, and the astonishing distance a family will travel to find its way home.
